Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 25, 2026
- No account required — we use an anonymous session ID to keep your reports available.
- We store the structured fields you enter and the outputs we generate so your dashboard works.
- You can delete reports from your dashboard; deletion removes them from our database.
- Some features send relevant inputs to third‑party providers (for example, AI) to generate results.
1) What we collect
- Anonymous session ID stored in your browser (localStorage) so your reports can be retrieved without an account.
- Offer inputs you enter (structured fields like base salary, equity type, grant count, strike, vesting, 409A, etc.).
- Generated outputs (scores, scenarios, stability findings, and AI analysis).
- Basic usage events (for example: creating a report, refreshing signals) to help improve the product and reduce abuse.
2) What we do not collect (by design)
- We do not require your name, email, or phone number to use the core Service.
- We do not intentionally store raw offer letter text as “the source of truth” for reports (reports are stored as structured fields).
3) How we use your information
- To generate reports, calculators, and comparisons.
- To improve accuracy and user experience.
- To prevent abuse and keep the Service secure.
4) Cookies / local storage
We use browser storage (like localStorage) to keep an anonymous session ID so you can return to your dashboard. If you clear site data or switch browsers/devices, you may lose access to previously created reports unless you exported or shared them.
5) AI processing
Some features (like analysis, counter‑drafts, and parsing) send the relevant inputs to third‑party service providers to generate a result. Do not submit sensitive information you would not want processed by third‑party providers.
6) Sharing
If you create a share link, we generate a sanitized summary that does not include salary, grant counts, strike prices, valuation numbers, or raw offer text.
7) Data retention and deletion
Reports are retained until you delete them (so your dashboard works). You can delete reports from your dashboard.
Deleting a report removes it from our database and also removes related share links that depend on that report.
8) Security
We take reasonable steps to protect stored data, but no system is perfectly secure. Please avoid entering highly sensitive personal information.
9) California privacy notice (CCPA/CPRA)
This section applies if you are a California resident.
- Categories collected: We may collect identifiers (like an anonymous session ID), internet or electronic network activity (basic usage events), and commercial information (the offer details you choose to enter).
- Sensitive personal information: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information for the core Service.
- Sale / sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, AI or hosting).
- Your rights: You may have the right to know, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing (if applicable).
How to delete: The most reliable way to delete your stored reports is from your dashboard.
How to make other requests: We’re early and do not yet publish a dedicated privacy contact email. If you need to make a formal request (know/correct), please check back — we’ll add a contact method as we scale.
10) Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11) Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
